Registering for Independent Study or Research in Physics

If you wish to register for an independent study course other than 990, please come to the Physics Department office, 2320 Chamberlin between the hours of 8:00 A.M. – Noon or 1:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M.
Pick up a blue Permission Card.
Complete that card, have your instructor sign it and return it to Jane Schimmel in 2320H Chamberlin.
She will then provide you with a permission number.

All students who were enrolled for 990 in the Fall semester will automatically roll forward for Spring.

If there is a change of adviser, or you cannot register, please see Jane Schimmel 2320H Chamberlin or email physgrad@physics.wisc.edu.
