ANNOUNCEMENTS:

• Baha Balantekin, Eugene P. Wigner Professor of Physics, has been elected to the Executive Board of the American Physical Society (APS). APS with its 46,000 members is active in public and governmental affairs, and in the international physics community. In addition, it conducts extensive programs in education, public outreach, and media relations.
