UW-Physics Operating Systems Support

The UW-Physics IT staff supports certain software and services on the following operating systems:

Scientific Linux version 3 or newer

MacOS-X version 10.2 or newer

Windows XP

Windows Vista

Windows 7

The currently recommended operating systems are:

Scientific Linux version 5.4

MacOS-X version 10.5 (Leopard)

WindowsXP SP3

The UW-Physics IT staff fully supports Scientific Linux version 3 or newer. Currently we have an automated installation and configuration facility for Scientific Linux 4.4 and 5.2.
