Demonstration:
A circuit board is designed with multiple switches, light bulbs, and volt meters. The idea is that by flipping the different switches you can create various parallel and series circuits. By reading the voltage and which light source is on one can determine what circuit is created. There is also the possibility to short the circuit out. Then this happens all voltage on the board drops to zero.
