Information for Speakers:

NPAC Forums are normally held Thursdays from 2:30-3:30pm in 4274 Chamberlin, with refreshments available from 2-2:30pm.

We provide a laptop projector. If you are a Mac user, be sure to bring your adapter. The audience consistens of a mix of theorists and experimentalists from a wide array of subfields, and we encourage you to include sufficient introductory material in your talk to make it accessible to this diverse audience.

Directions to UW-Madison and Chamberlin Hall (Map below):

From Madison Downtown:  (Lowell Center, Memorial Union)
Head west on Langdon until you reach Park Street.  Cross Park street and head left. When you pass science hall, (large red brick building), go right up the steps and up Bascom Hill.  Bascom Hall is at the top of the hill.  Go left (passing Abraham Lincoln seated at the top of Bascom hall), and head slightly right toward a building with Telescopes on the roof, this is Sterling Hall.  Directly in front of this  with a courtyard in between, is Chamberlin Hall

Enter from the courtyard by either of the glass enclosed staircases.  Go up three flights to get to the fifth floor where the theory faculty are located. Alternately, you can take one flight to the third floor and follow the hallway south (toward University Avenue) until you reach the elevators.

Michael Ramsey-Musolf's office is 5281. The administrative support staff (see below) are located in the High Energy Physics office in room 4288.

From Madison Downtown:  (Doubletree Hotel, Fluno Center)
Head west on University Avenue. After you pass Mills street, you will see Chamberlin Hall on the north. Enter through the doors on University. After entering the lobby, head west (left) to the Physics Department office (room 2320), where someone will direct you to the elevators. Take the elevators to the fifth floor.

Getting to Madison
You may fly directly to Madison, arriving at the Dane County Regional airport (MSN). From there, you may take a cab to your hotel (cab fare runs close to $15). Alternately, you may fly into O'Hare and take the van Galder bus from the Bus Shuttle Center to the UW-Madison Memorial Union (one way ticket is $27). The bus takes 3 hours, runs frequently, and is a reliable means of getting to Madison during inclement weather when the regional jet service can be delayed or cancelled.
