Textbook: "Classical Dynamics of Particles and Systems, 5th Edition" by Stephen T. Thornton and Jerry B. Marion (placed on physics library reserve).

Office hours:  (subject to change) Friday at 12:00-12:30 pm and Thursday at 1:45-2:15 pm and by appointment.

Final letter grade will be determined by the homework (30%),  three midterm exams (45%, 15% for each), the final exam (25%). Homework assignments will be weekly, due on Mondays at the end of lectures. Each problem in homeworks and exams will be graded out of 10 points (unless stated otherwise), based on the following scheme: essentially correct - 10 points, strong effort - 7 points, some progress - 4 points, no progress - 0 points.
