IDL for emacs has been totally revamped and is available at
http://www.strw.leidenuniv.nl/~dominik/Tools/idlwave/.  You'll find all sorts of
support for object programming, with completion, class selection, etc., not to
mention a whole new feature-set for regular IDL programming.
