SUMMARY:Numerical modeling: Error\, stability\, and chaos\, Chaos & Co
mplex Systems Seminar\, George Hrabovsky\, Madison Area Science and Te
 chnology
DESCRIPTION:We rely heavily on approximation methods in science\, as i
t is often the case that exact methods of solution are impossible with
known mathematics. In this talk I will discuss the issues of approxim
ation error\, the stability of approximate solution methods\, and the
role of chaos in numerical modeling.<br>
\n
