DESCRIPTION:We will be discussing this paper by Appleby et al\, <a hre

 ence\, technology\, engineering\, and mathematics</a>. This is a longe
 r article\, so we are asking people to focus on these sections: Abstra
 ct\, Introduction\, III. A Case of University Students doing Physics (
 sections A\, B and D)\, IV. Our Conjecture: Social Caring Supports a S
 hifted Epistemology (Section A)\, and Discussion and Implications. <br
 >\n<br>\nGREAT IDEAS stands for Group for Reading\, Educating\, And 
 Talking about Inclusion\, Diversity\, Equity\, & Advocacy in Science. 
 It is a multimedia reading group dedicated to amplifying the experienc
 es of underrepresented groups in science and academia in order to beco
 me better advocates for our peers. GREAT IDEAS is open to everyone (st
 udents/ faculty/ staff/ etc)\, and all are welcome and encouraged to e
 ngage with the material and contribute to the discussions. To keep a w
