SUMMARY:Probing Superconducting Electrodynamics Through Near-Field Noi
se\, Condensed Matter Theory Group Seminar\, Gustav Romare\, UW Madiso
 n
DESCRIPTION:Electromagnetic noise near superconductors provide a sensi
tive probe of their underlying electronic response. We investigate how
superconducting correlations and spatially nonlocal electrodynamics i
nfluence the electromagnetic noise detected by nearby quantum sensors.
By relating the wave-vector- and frequency-dependent response of supe
rconducting systems to magnetic field fluctuations\, we study experime
ntally accessible observables such as T1 time and their dependence on
temperature\, probe frequency\, and sensor-sample separation. We ident
ify characteristic noise signatures and demonstrate how near-field mea
surements can access information beyond that available from convention
 al transport probes.
