I will discuss in detail the behaviour of a double dot which exhibits Pauli spin blockade, and its interaction with the environment. In our experiments we measure and demonstrate control of the single-triplet exchange coupling between the dots and investigate the effect of spin-orbit interaction. We find that the double dot is exchange-coupled to a single impurity spin and show how this affects transport.
On the same device, under different coupling conditions, the Kondo effect is present and we probe the competition between Kondo and exchange interactions. I will then move on to initial experiments of state sensing performed using radio-frequency reflectometry with a resonator directly coupled to the nanotube. Finally I will show results of quantised charge pumping using a nanotube double dot.
