SUMMARY:Interactions and superconductivivity in the polaronic Fermi li
quid SrTiO3\, R. G. Herb Condensed Matter Seminar\, Dirk va
n der Marel\, University of Geneva
DESCRIPTION:SrTiO3 is a semiconductor which\, when doped wi
th a low density of electrons\, becomes superconducting with a dome-s
haped doping dependence of the superconducting transition temperature.
I will present optical\, transport and specific heat data\, and discu
ss a unified approach to the transport properties and superconductivit
y\, showing that superconductivity emerges out of a liquid of interact
ing polarons. This interaction is rather weak\, disfavouring the pictu
re of uncondensed bipolarons above Tc.
