Scientific Background to Global Environmental Problems: A one-semester course designed to provide those elements of physics, atmospheric sciences, chemistry, biology and geology which are essential to a scientific understanding of global environmental problems. Specific examples of such problems include global warming, stratospheric ozone depletion, acid rain and environmental toxins. Three lectures per week.
High school algebra & 1 semester college level chemistry or physics, or consent of instructor
