Donations

We are very grateful for all the donations that we receive each year and we thank you for your generosity. The Ingersoll Physics Museum is a free public venue and with your donations we can keep it this way. Your charitable donations help support the docent tour program, construction of new exhibits, and maintenance.

Friends of the L.R. Ingersoll Museum of Physics – Established in 2004. The historical Leonard R. Ingersoll Physics Museum was originally established in 1918 and housed in the main lobby area of Sterling Hall.  Where it’s main attraction, the Foucault Pendulum, was a on display. Eventually the museum was relocated into two adjacent rooms off the lobby area and remained there until 2006 when it was moved to it’s current location within Chamberlin Hall. Your donations to this fund will support the acquisition and construction of new exhibits for the expanded museum area. In addition, funds will be used to support activities of the “Friends of the Ingersoll Physics Museum,” including the successfully student tour guide program for visiting schools and groups.
