There are other (than the list above) hotels that are located in the heart of downtown Madison and adjacent to the UW–Madison campus. Those are within walking distance of the workshop venue, shops, museums, galleries, and restaurants. Due to the limited supply/large demand, these hotels tend to be rather expensive, and fill up quickly.
Parking in the Campus
Many hotels around the campus/downtown area provide free parking with hotel reservation. Please check with your respective hotel when making room reservation.
There are many cheaper hotels that are within 5-6 miles from the campus. You can use any trusted hotel (online) booking sites to get a list of such hotels. This is a better option for individual or a group of participants (either from the same/diff institute) who plan to have/share rental cars, which can be parked in the campus for $15/day.
