Group problems and quizzes

 Discussion quizzes: One per week, during Thursday's discussion section. The quiz topic is on the syllabus and also below. The question are usually somewhat easier than exam problems. An easy way to prepare is to attend lecture, do the reading, and start the HW. You may bring one 8 1/2 x 11 equation sheet.

 Discussion group problems: one or two per week, generally on Tuesday. These problems are comparable to or somewhat harder than typical exam problems.
