The Physics Department’s network file systems are backed up. Please read the following for suggestions on how to back up your desktop and mobile device.
Affiliates of a Primary Investigator
ResearchDrive offers at least 25TB of free storage. Windows can back up to ResearchDrive with the built in “File History”. Unfortunately, Macinotish Time Machine is not supported. Instead, periodically synchronize files with another program. One such program is FreeFileSync. Please contact us for help configuring backups.
Non-Affiliates of a Primary Investigator
If your total backup size is less than 25GB Google Drive is a good option. Otherwise, please contact us for options.
