Hassan Chehime

Hassan earned his Ph.D. in particle physics phenomenology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1995 and later completed an M.S. in Mathematical Finance. He has worked in quantitative finance at Merrill Lynch, Société Générale, Millennium Partners Hedge Fund, and the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia. His background includes derivatives and factor risk modeling, and alternative-assets risk management. He also founded an advisory practice serving Gulf financial institutions. He developed an early passion for physics and later an interest in financial markets; he now serves as Head of Investment Risk at the State of Wisconsin Investment Board.
