Course Description: 
Introduction at the non-calculus level. Not recommended for students in the physical sciences and engineering. Principles of mechanics, heat, and sound, with applications to a number of different fields. Two lectures, two discussion sections and one two-hour lab per week.

Discussions begin Thurs. Sep 7th. Labs begin the week of Sep 11th. EVENING MID TERM EXAMS: 5:45-7:00 p.m., Thurs., Oct. 5, Nov. 2 and Nov. 30. Students must register for either lecture section 001, 002, or 003 but may attend any lecture section. Students who have taken Physics 201, 207, or 247 are not eligible to enroll for this course. Prospective Physics Majors should take Physics 247 or Physics 207.
