Interactions and energy deposition by ionizing radiation in matter; concepts, quantities and units in radiological physics; principles and methods of radiation dosimetry.
Instructor Course Description: 
This class is designed to construct a theoretical foundation for precise ionizing radiation dose calculations in a medical context and prepare first year graduate students for proper scientific presentations of their work.
