Monte-Carlo simulation of Kondo-lattice model on triangular lattice
Date: Thursday, June 3rd
Time: 10:00 am
Place: 5310 Chamberlin
Speaker: Yasuyuki Kato, Los Alamos National Lab
Abstract: We study the Kondo-lattice model on triangular lattice by Monte-Carlo simulation. By mean-field analysis, it is predicted that the ground state at 1/4-filling and 3/4-filling has non-coplanar spin ordering called all-out structure and this non-coplanar spin ordering causes the finite Hall-conductivity without static magnetic field. By Monte-Carlo simulation, we also found this all-out structure at low temperature. In this talk, we will show the ground-state properties and finite-temperature properties of this model. We also show the detail of Monte-Carlo method.
