This time we have the privilege of inviting Maddie Blong, a PhD student in the UW-Madison Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis, and an Ed-GRS (Education Graduate Research Scholars) fellow, who will be giving a presentation on ethnomathematics (the study of how mathematical ideas developed in specific cultural contexts, and how it’s been shaped by the needs, histories, and beliefs of different communities). We will have a Q&A session afterwards for anyone who has questions.
