Research Interests: I am interested in the problem non-relativistic light matter interaction. I focus on the connection between spatial/temporal coherence and the resultant quantum statistics of scattered light from disordered atomic ensembles.
I am a third year continuing Indian international Ph.D. student in the department of physics. I graduated with a Masters in Physics Quantum Computing from the same university summer of 2023. Since the time I joined the university as a Master’s student I have been engaged in numerous research projects all of which have been supervised by my present research advisor Prof. Deniz Yavuz. My current efforts along side him have been on building a theoretical framework for the joint time evolution of atomic excitations (in an ensemble) and intra-cavity field in the presence of a coherent classical laser drive with strength comparable to that of the atom-cavity coupling rate. Our objective is to investigate quantum statistics of the intra-cavity field given some initial conditions in the above regime. Our motivation for this outlook follows from the successful theoretical determination of photon-number squeezing in the long time quantum statistics for single-mode radiation emitted by an atomic ensemble when initially prepared in a superradiant Dicke state for a large number of atoms. Our aim in the upcoming future would be to find analogous solutions for the interaction of multi-mode quantised Bosonic field with atomic ensembles. And, possibly for the interaction of atomic ensemble with a continuum of quantised Bosonic field modes.
